“Nutty Bread”

There from my kitchen window

The Baby Squirrel

Sat in a garden tub

By the Bird table

Held between his little paws

A piece of nutty bread

Nibbling away

His tiny little fluffy tail

Blowing in the wind

How cute he looked

How small he was

Taking chances

Yes he was

But hunger made

It all worthwhile

Twice a day

On the Bird table

I’ll place some nutty bread

Even though squabbles go on

Between the

Pigeons, Collared Doves

And the little Birds

Soon as Squirrels appear

They come first

To take the nutty bread

How I love

To watch all Nature

How we must preserve it all

For one day

It will all be gone

If we don’t protect it all
