“The House”

There it stood

All alone

The large House

That people knew of

Set in Gardens

Through the Black Iron Gates

Four in total that stood there

Arches of cascading Roses

Until the Door to House was reached

Through the Doors

Enter the House

The walls could talk

So often did

So much they held

More pain than laughter

House full of memories

Tears that were shed

The walls of the House

Held all the truth

Ready to tell

Large Hall how welcoming

Can you feel it all

A House will tell you

Happy or Cold

So close your eyes

Feel it all

Listen, the whispers

Coming from walls

Houses hold memories

Good or bad

Sadness comes forth

Joy perhaps

Listen, listen

Silently

To the walls of the House

A Story it has to tell
