I laid in bed
Watched the Clock
Listening to tick toc tick toc
Soon the alarm will bang and clang
Against the bells on the clock
5.30 crazy
I went to bed 3.30
Romantic liason
Of a sort
Clint Eastwood
“Thunderbolt and Lightfoot”
I could not sleep
Just watching the clock
Switching the light on and off
Might as well get up
Assorted tablets to take
Oh hell be better off
With a reefer
Or Clint Eastwood
Now thats a thought
I laid in bed
And watched the clock
Tic toc tic toc

Those restless moments in bed have given rise to many of liasons for me in the past, Anna. Not with Clint, mind you, but still…. ๐

You have a sparkle in your eyes for Clint! I liked his early western films, like “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”.

Insomnia is a terrible condition. It does you no good at all. The brain needs to flush out the chemicals clogging it up. It needs regular sleep to keep us healthy.

The Reefer or gorgeous Clint or both (well he’s second to you know who) glad you enjoyed it.

I find it so curious that I simply can’t develop that kind of attachment to the “stars” of today. With the possible exception of Tom Mison on “Sleepy Hollow!” ๐
