“Like Soft Rain”

Like soft rain

on a Summers day

Lavender swaying

back and forth

in the breeze

the scent of which waffles by

Standing in a field

no noise just peace

the hay in the distance

no workers yet to field

The woods so deep

yet Bluebells scattered there

to stand and watch

the majesty of such little flowers

The hill, long grass

were feet did run

the sound of laughter

I still hear

An empty room

but not alone

for you

are there

A summer’s evening

alone, maybe

not lonely

how could I be

when I have thoughts of you

Then at night

when quietness falls

the sky so full of stars

and I am so alone

I reach out

for you take my hand

and I am not alone
