THE GLASSHOUSE

I saw you   there

that day in the Park

as you worked building a

Glass House

With your hard hat on

your broad shoulders

and chest hair peeking

from the top of your vest

I wanted you so much

How  I wanted you

tools in your hands

you turned

and smiled

I sat there too shy at first

but when I looked up

you still smiled

I plucked up the courage

to return your smile

I imagined myself

in your strong arms

held tight

as you closed your mouth

on mine

The smell of your body

the feel of your chest

I wanted to make love

love under the hot sun

But my lunchtime

was over

and so was my dream

and I had to walk away

leaving you alone

“Come Prima”  The Mario Lanza.  This is an old favourite song of mine, but in Italian its stunning.
