ONE KNIFE, EYES FILLED WITH HATRED.

How I wished

I’d had the courage

to turn that knife on you

I looked as you shouted

and there you were

about to plunge the knife

In that instant

not believing what I saw

hatred filled my Soul

My Heart cried out

the tears I stopped

but when I looked at you

all there was within your eyes

your hatred all for me

I struggled for the knife

hoping I could cut you

but something stopped me

perhaps God

but I turned and walked away

There behind me on the stairs

two little Boys

the oldest crying

the youngest stoic

I turned back

you were gone

the knife was gone

I thanked God

I had kept calm

Not for me

but for my little boys

the knife did not hurt

but the hatred

in my Mother’s eyes

still haunts me to this day

No film has ever scared me so much, as the wonderful Hitchcock “Psycho” film and the thrilling Bernard Herrmann theme.
