SHADOWS

Doors open

curtains blow gently from the breeze

the smell of the sea

the smell of him

you open your eyes

tears fall gently onto your breasts

You think of him

holding you touching your skin

his lips on yours

the feel of his body

his fingers touching your body

All you can do is remember

remember what it was like

what he was like

his smile that would light up the room

that shadow of him you see

coming towards you

reach out to touch him

No, just a shadow

a shadow of a dream

of a time when he was here

his body next to yours

the feel of his skin

the smell of his body

his eyes his lips

The tears still fall

on those breasts now untouched

by his lips by his fingers

how your breasts ache for him

your entire body longs for him

the pain too much

the breeze makes the curtains move

the smell of the sea

just shadows only shadows
