THE PARK

Two lovers

meet and embrace

and soon their lips

are locked in passion

The Park is full

the sun shines  down

as children play

and sail their boats

in the round pond

Unaware of those around

or the lonely girl in red dress

sitting on the park bench

trying not to look

as the lovers embrace

For aloner she sits

no lover of her own

he’s gone

so far away

The lonely girl

in the red dress

sits there trying not to cry

yet tears run down her face

The Last Performance by that charming Gentleman Perry Como, miss him so much.  (Thanks to Charly Charles)
