EASILY THEY FELL – REMEMBER ALL 11 am 11 NOVEMBER 1918

How easily they fell

one by one

thousands by thousands

cries for “Mother”

Wives or Children

Yet climbed the ladders

over the top

and forward they went

running running

to their Deaths

the courageous men and boys

A War to end all Wars

they were told

but lies always lies

to those that sacrificed ALL

Heads, arms, legs and guts

spilled and laying there in mud

one by one, hundreds by hundreds

thousands by thousands

decent men and boys

were no more

For a better Country

for a better World

a brighter future for themselves

a future for their children

lies lies and more lies

now they are Dead and no more

1914  –  1918

no more War

not after all this carnage

but wait those in Charge determine life

not those that Sacrificed their lives

Stand and show Respect

Stand and REMEMBER

all those Deaths

all those that fought and died

November Now

the month of REMEMBRANCE

so Honour all the Dead

remember their suffering

how they died torn apart

left in mud graves

Wear the  R E D   P O P P Y

wear with   P R I D E

stand for the Two Minute Silence

You owe them that and so do I

1914  –  1918

the Lone Soldier

Remembering his Father, Brother

Pals from home

Remember  –  Remember
